Potacia W. Francis, MD, FACOG is a Board Certified Ob/Gyn and a native of Guyana South America, was raised and educated in New York. After completing the seven year BS/MD program with the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education and New York Medical College, she undertook a Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Long Island College Hospital. Her first professional appointment was at The Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center where she worked as an Attending Physican. In 2011 she accepted an appointment as Associate Clinical Professor and Medical Director of the Ambulatory Care Clinic at the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate at Long Island College Hospital.
She is married to Dr. Martin Francis and they have two children. In her personal time she enjoys being a soccer mom and wife, participating in her churches woman’s ministry, traveling and spending time with her very large extended family.
